Next Halo Game Gets a Title, Release Window, and Artwork

Bonnie Ross, the General Manager at 343 Industries, has officially announced (via blog post) the next Halo installment; “Halo 5: Guardians” will be coming to Xbox One in the fall of 2015.  Ross says that Halo 5 is a “bigger effort” compared to Halo 4 in both “content and scope of the game”.  The GM also reports a brand new engine is being used to help elevate the series to next-gen standards, along with a little tease for this years E3 saying, the “journey definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than one small step.”  Perhaps we will see that new engine on June 9th at Microsofts E3 press conference.

Along with Ross’s announcement Frank O’Connor, the Franchise Development Director, released an interesting piece of artwork and some hints as to what we will be able to expect from the next-gen installment to the Halo series. You can read the full post here.

So Halo Fans, prepare for June 9th for the “giant leap” in the franchise.
